PRARTHNA SINGH

The Indian photographer Prarthna Singh deals primarily with questions of identity and gender. Her focus is on the tense political situation and the development of strong nationalism in India today. In addition, insecurity and vulnerability on the one hand and courageous radical acts of human action on the other are the focus of her work. After receiving her BFA degree in photography from the Rhode Island School of Design, Prarthna first lived and worked in New York before returning to India. Currently, the artist lives in Mumbai, India.
