The exhibition #EGO explores the search for identity and place within society in the work of four artists. The varied projects trace personal and familial stories, experiences of migration, belonging and alienation, and negotiate the interrelated construction of identities. Bringing together a range of visual encounters, #EGO considers the perception and impact of photography and its close links to the production of images of the self and other.
Participating artists: Amak Mahmoodian (Great Britain), Silvia Rosi (Great Britain), Laura C. Vela (Spain), Guanyu Xu (USA)
The exhibition #EGO can be seen from 18 March to 11 June 2023 at the Haus im Schluh and is jointly curated by Daria Bona and Cale Garrido.
