AMAK MAHMOODIAN – SHENASNAMEH

Amak Mahmoodian is an Iranian artist based in Bristol, UK. In her practice, she questions notions of identity and home, bridging a space between personal and political. She has published two books with RRB Photobooks, co-published with ICVL Studio: Shenasnameh (2016) and Zanjir (2019). In 2015, she completed a practice-based doctorate in photography at the University of South Wales, having previously studied at the Art University of Tehran.
