Art education is one of the integral components of RAW. For this reason, the exhibitions of the RAW Photo Triennale Worpswede 2023 will be accompanied by an extensive media education programme that serves a dual purpose: to prepare for and follow up on the exhibition and to provide information in the exhibitions themselves.
Visitors can use their own devices to access the information programme. The information itself is provided before and in the exhibitions by means of a QR code that leads to video and audio material optimised for mobile devices.
On the RAW-FREI-HAUS platform, which was already developed during the Corona pandemic and made a significant contribution to the success of the RAW Photo Triennale Worpswede 2020, the material will also be made available in a collected form, enabling detailed engagement with the exhibitions.
Each of the main exhibitions is preceded by an introduction by the curatorial team that contextualises the exhibition theme, the concept and the selected positions. In the exhibitions themselves, each series of works is provided with detailed information. The biographies of the artists as well as the political, social and personal background of the series of works are thus illuminated and made comprehensible to the public. In addition, it is possible to make use of original sound recordings of the artists and to let them speak for themselves.
With the production of RAW-FREI-HAUS, one of the most successful online cultural mediation formats in the field of photography, the festival embarked on a digital path in 2020, which the RAW Photo Triennale Worpswede 2023 is now continuing.
RAW is generously supported by the VGH Foundation in this ambitious project. For this we say thank you!
